Capture the Flag Success with Danske Bank

In collaboration with Instil, Vertical Structure hosted a Danske Bank team during a Capture the Flag (CTF) event which seen software developers and testers come together for a day of fun and learning.
We are from Danske Bank and work within our Technology and Digital Development department which leads the digital transformation of UK banking solutions. Gillian Bond (left) and Jack Tyrell (right) are Software Developers in our API Team while Gillian McGucken (middle) is an Automation Development Manager.
This was the first time any of us have attended a CTF and so we were unsure of what to expect and also probably a bit nervous!
We found the challenges interesting, relevant to our everyday work and liked how each challenge was rated for difficulty. They really got us thinking outside the box and expanding our knowledge of cyber tools.
I think the collaboration with the teams from Instil, VS and other participants really made the event enjoyable and a great learning experience. The atmosphere was friendly and not overly competitive with everyone willing to help and share knowledge.
Yes 100 percent! I have already recommended it to our IT Security Team as feel the content would be incredibly relevant to their work.
